Journaling is very inportant. Every picture tells a story. The whole reason for scrapbooking is to place your photos in an album and tell a story with them. You want to preserve events and remind yourself and others what happened at those events.
You should use your own handwriting for many of the journaling and story telling. If you don’t like your own hand writing then use it for short captions and type short paragraphs to tell the stories. Remember to print them on acid free paper. And mount them on acid free, lignin free, buffered paper to help protect your photographs.
